Many of her clients are used to showing up for others and are now ready to reconnect with themselves—whether they are navigating illness, recovery, loss, or a new chapter of life. They are not looking for rigid plans or quick fixes, but for thoughtful support, practical tools, and space to breathe, reflect, and move forward in a way that feels realistic and true to who they are.

About Jo

Jo Bakal is an Integrative Wellness & Cancer Survivorship Coach, licensed massage therapist, and wellness educator.

Her work is shaped by both professional training and personal life experience, including caregiving, loss, and navigating the realities of balancing well-being with the demands of everyday life. These experiences inform the way she works—bringing a compassionate, grounded presence and an understanding that meaningful change doesn’t come from doing more, but from creating space for what truly matters.

Jo supports caregivers, individuals impacted by cancer, and women navigating the shifts of midlife and beyond. She offers a thoughtful, integrative approach that helps clients move forward in a way that feels realistic, sustainable, and true to who they are.

APPROACH TO WELLNESS

Jo’s coaching is rooted in the belief that each person is the expert in their own life.

With a warm, empathetic, and trauma-informed approach, she creates a calm, non-judgmental space where caregivers, cancer survivors, and women navigating healthy aging feel supported in making meaningful, sustainable change. Her work is shaped by presence, deep listening, and a genuine respect for what each person is carrying.

Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all plan, Jo meets each client where they are—honoring their pace, their capacity, and what life is asking of them right now. Together, you explore what is needed in the present moment, creating space for clarity, self-trust, and thoughtful decision-making.

Jo’s role is not to direct, but to support—to walk alongside you as you navigate change, illness, caregiving, or new life chapters. She integrates a range of tools, including coaching, gentle somatic practices such as Qigong, hands-on support through therapeutic massage when appropriate, energy work, and guidance around nourishment. Everything is adapted to what feels supportive and realistic for you.

The intention is not to become someone new, but to reconnect with yourself and create a way of living that feels supportive, sustainable, and true to who you are.
