Spring Reflections: Purpose, Gratitude, and New Beginnings

Spring is in full force, and I’ve been blessed this month to witness—and participate in—the beautiful unfolding of life. It feels like standing right on the cusp of new beginnings, and I’m filled with gratitude.

One of the highlights this season is being an educator at a meaningful Passover Retreat at Pearlstone in Reisterstown, Maryland. This morning, I finalized the workshops I’ll be offering: Aging Well, Qigong Massage, and The Power of the Breath. I’ll also be leading a daily morning Qigong practice and a couple of evening meditation walks. I’m truly looking forward to being surrounded by kindred spirits and immersed in the many wonderful activities. There’s so much to be grateful for.

Passover, for me, is a time of renewal and freedom—a sacred opportunity to release what no longer serves us. It’s a time to reflect, shed the layers of arrogance or self-doubt, and return to humility and presence. Spring mirrors this so clearly: life is blooming, visibly and vibrantly, all around us.

As I reflect on the season and this moment in my life, I feel a deep sense of alignment. I’m doing exactly what I feel called to do—and I love it. As a wellness practitioner with a diverse toolkit, I’m honored to support people in living healthier, more vibrant lives.

That said, not every day flows with ease. Some days are smooth, others are filled with doubt, imposter syndrome, or the tug of procrastination. And still—I get to do this work. I get to host a kind of mini B&B in my home, care for four wonderful rescue animals (who, if I’m honest, have rescued me), and continue walking the path I’m meant to walk.

I’m sharing this as a gentle reminder: each of us carries purpose, joy, and meaning. Let’s try to connect with that every day, even if only in small ways.

I’d love to know—what gets you up in the morning?
Or maybe… what’s getting in your way right now?
I’m here for the conversation.
